Regarding real life sweethearts, Vanessa Hudgens (19) and Zac Efron (20), director Kenny Ortega says, “Life imitates art. It doesn’t hurt us that Zac and Vanessa have a connection. When Zac and Vanessa first auditioned for me, they didn’t know each other. But the chemistry those two kids share was just there. It has always been there.”

We’re all eager to see what happens with Troyella, Sharpay, Ryan and the rest of the gang. Even though the original cast is unlikely to return for a fourth installment of HSM, Hudgens says she and  Efron may work together again someday. “No one says it’s the last time,” she says. “Who knows what the future will bring.”
