Mmm Misha Lulu - Adorable!

Misha Lulu clothes are A-Dor-Able!

he Retro-modern infant and toddler brand is eclectic, fun and artsy! I love the pinafores and color/print matches.

ML is a family owned and operated fashion brand founded by Joe and Karen Salazar.  With roots in El Salvador, Karen has taken her childhood memories and fused it into the line. The couple live in South Pasadena with their daughter Isabela.

Unfortunately the clothing is only available in select stores on the West Coast, USA  and online.

We wish we could count ourselves among those talented crafty Martha Moms. Our jealousy only increases once the holidays roll around.

These Halloween costumes are adorable and so unique! Directions for all costumes available online.

Love the Spider Web Mother and Sock Spider Baby (above).  Here, three pairs of men’s black socks become legs to the spider to his spider web!

And how cute is the Spring Chicken and Honey Bee Hive below.  The hive creates quite a buzz - silk flowers, twigs, and bees all find home atop your hair (made longer with twisted yarn). Bees made with pipe cleaners or available at crafts stores.

The Bubble Wrap Jellyfish (below) is my all-time favorite. This ethereal, one-of-a-kind costume is an easy project in itself to make, but fun for the whole family to wear.  Great!

Medusa (below) the mythological reptilian-haired woman is easy to create using hair extensions and rubber snakes from your son’s toy box.

Crispy Bugs: You won’t have to dare kids to eat these bugs.

Eyes, antennae, and stripes are licorice (poke holes with a skewer first); wings are candy wafers (cut slits with a knife), heads are gumdrops (slice gumdrop, exposing stickiness, and then press to bug body.

Basic crispy rice recipe here.

Homemade Tortillas: This great recipe is not only easy, but so fun for the kids.

Plus tortillas off the  stove are delicious! Add a little cheese and shredded chicken and you have dinner, that’s if the tortillas last that long.

Crepes: Better than pancakes because they are French, n’est pas! Plus you can put anything (savory or sweet) inside.

The kids will love helping to mix the batter, and eagerly line up as the crepes fly off your pan.  Give them options to put inside. Our favorites - fresh lemon juice, powdered sugar, Nutella, bananas, strawberries, cheese, ham…the possibilities are endless!

My favorite recipe from C&Z here.

Patriotic Fruit: A great snack on Independence Day, Memorial Day or any other patriotic holiday.

Serve with with toothpicks for spearing the fruit and a bowl of your favorite dip.

Strawberries, blackberries or blueberries, bananas and lemon juice. Slice strawberries and arrange onto banana slices on a rectangular platter. Fresh, healthy and fun to eat.

On-the-GO! Crispy Cars: Powered by candle fuel, little cars with cereal wheels wend their way to the party past hand-drawn street signs and gumdrop trees (their trunks are toothpicks). After preparing the crispy rice mix in a 9 x 13 inch plan, cut a wavy diagonal line for hills and stand on serving tray. Top with taffy strips; press fringed glassine “grass” to sides.

Fun to make and better to eat.

We Love I Spy Private Eye

The object of I Spy Private Eye by Briarpatch is to remember the most matches to collect the most cards and win.  Shake-up the picture cubes, press the timer and go. You have 30 seconds to spy the images on 9 picture cubes, then close the Jumbler lid. Choose an I SPY picture card and find the images that match the cubes to win the card. Watch out! If you miss a match, your opponent may challenge and win the card.

This is a great car or airplane game as it is self contained. Just drop everything in a Zip-Loc.  Plus everyone can play - from age 2 to 72!

Available online for $19.99 from Toys R’Us here.
