Angelina Jolie (33) and partner Brad Pitt(44) welcomed their twins yesterday in Nice, France -  a son, named Knox Léon Jolie-Pitt, and a daughter,  named Vivienne Marcheline. Both babies arrived via C-section and are just a little over 5 lbs.  They will remain in the hospital for at least a few days.

It has been reported that the first photos of the children have been sold for $11 million dollars.

The arrival of the twins brings Jolie’s brood with partner Brad Pitt to six.

The couple have three adopted children: Maddox, six; Pax, four; Zahara, three, and a biological child, Shiloh, born in May 2006.

Before the twins were born, the mayor of Nice, France made the unborn children honorary citizens  of the small coastal town.

The mayor said, “That is for the citizens of Nice a very great honour and a great satisfaction. We are very happy for this choice of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and I want to say to them that I wish a lot of joy to them and the babies, and great success for all of their lives. All their lives they will be Nicois and all their life they will be able to come to Nice and we will receive them with great honour.”

Gossip site, Just Jared has reported that the Jolie-Pitt attorneys at law firm, Lavely & Singer, snatched up all domain name combinations of the twins’ names mere hours ago. Example: knoxleonjoliepitt.com, knoxjoliepitt.com, viviennemarchelinejoliepitt.com.  They have a great team of lawyers and just reiterates their desire to keep their kids safe, whatever the cost.

On a side note, Angelina’s dress (left) is one of my favorite fashion choices this pregnancy.  Love the colors shape and length.

Onetime Elite model, current actress and mom, Uma Thurman (38) and fiance, Franco-Swiss multimillionaire boyfriend, Arpad “Arki” Busson (45) hosted an engagement party in Manhattan last night. Arki was previously married to supermodel Elle Macpherson and known by Forbes.com as a man who “makes money just breathing.”

Arki has two sons with Macpherson, from whom he split in 2005. Thurman has been married twice previously (to Gary Oldman and Ethan Hawke). Uma and Ethan have two kids together, Maya Ray (10) and Levon Roan (6.5)

Exiting her apartment this morning with kids Maya and Levon,  Uma keeps it casual in a floppy sun hat, relaxed green tunic shirt, white capri pants and black sandals.

In the January 2008 issue of Bazaar, Uma shares a glimpse into her life as an actress.

On turning 40 soon: “In your teens, they tell you, ‘Watch out, you might not have a career in your 20s,’ so you scoot along and have some dark, down years. Suddenly, you get a career back and it’s ‘Watch out, in your 30s it’s going to be over.’ And God forbid you have a child. I remember telling an agent I was going to have a baby, and he said, ‘Oh, that’s great for you, but don’t even think about the business.’ No one’s brought up the 40 thing with me lately, but I’m sure the prognosis is going to be doom and gloom. But no decade has been disastrous, and I’ve gotten away with murder anyway.”

On marriage and divorce: “Look, my aim is true. I wish everybody no ill. I don’t really participate in any mudslinging or such. I like people to see their lives blossom and not go poorly for them.”

On how motherhood has actually help keep her more grounded (a little): “My house is always a disaster. I’m completely uncentered in my tastes. I can never finish anything. Before I had kids, I was even worse. I would constantly move. I’ve made huge strides for the sake of my dear children so they’re not subject to adolescent homelessness from me.”

In the recent August issue of Comopolitan UK, Jessica Alba shares her feelings on her recent marriage to Cash Warren, her pregnancy and losing the baby weight, FAST.  Jessica’s and Cash’s daughter Honor Marie was born last month.

“I never felt less sexy,” Alba says of her own pregnancy. “I mean, I wouldn’t have changed it for the world … but I wanted to get rid of all the weight.”

“I never thought I’d find a man before 30, let alone marry him and have his baby,” she told the magazine. “I always used to meet the wrong guys – the ones who wanted to hang out for a week and see how far they could get. If you didn’t have sex in the first few days, you were either frigid or a lesbian. So I held out – and, boy, am I glad I did!”

As for her no-frills wedding at the Beverly Hills courthouse, Alba insisted the hush-hush ceremony was “very romantic.” And she had no desire for an over-the-top, celebrity-studded ceremony.

“We’re not a typical Hollywood couple,” she said. “I love that he’s not an actor. I’m way too high maintenance to be in a relationship with an actor – they’re all such divas!”

Warren has also been instrumental in keeping Alba grounded during her rapid transformation into wife and mother.

“Nothing was planned – the pregnancy or the wedding,” she admitted. “But he took it in his stride and convinced me we’d conquer all!”

I’m sure we’ll see Jess back on the red carpet looking gorgeous and tiny in no time.
