Zac Efron Covers Entertainment Weekly

Just days short of his 21st birthday, Zac Efron covers Entertainment Weekly’s Photo Issue in stores now.

In the candid interview Efron shares a glimpse into his quasi normal life in Hollywood, which he deems an adventure. “I’m always bobbing and weaving through alleyways trying to get to meetings, scouting out and looking outside doors and running around like Jason Bourne,” says Efron. ”I’ve always loved secret agent movies, whether it be James Bond or Bourne Identity. Now I’m kind of living it.”

Whether it is Bourne or Bond, Efron has the charisma, attitude and appeal that could keep him in the spotlight for years to come. ”He had an ease and a charm where even if he messed up, it turned out better than if he had done it right.” HSM director Kenny Ortega says of Efron. ”He reminded me of Cary Grant or when I worked with Matthew Broderick in Ferris Bueller.”

Efron openly admires the careers of Johnny Depp and Lionardo DiCaprio who successfully  made the leap from poster boy to Oscar contenders. ”They do it because they love it, not because they enjoy being famous. You have to have good foresight and be really careful. If you don’t adapt and learn at a very young age, you can really mess up.”

On the decision to film HSM3: ”This felt like a good final chapter of HSM for me,” Efron says of the film. ”The fans basically demanded we make it. So this was our opportunity to do everything to the best of our abilities on a big screen.”

On working with off-screen girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens: ”After three movies together, Vanessa and I feel free to do whatever we want, and we’re just kind of silly and uninhibited,” he says. ”It felt like the best working vacation I’ve ever taken.”

The much anticipated High School Musical 3 is not even out in theaters yet, but advance ticket sales  for the Disney sequel in the UK have topped £800,000 and will be pushing £1 million by the time the film hits cinemas. That’s $1,400,500 and $1,750,110 USD respectively.

The pre-release takings exceed the previous record holder, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and dwarf advance bookings for every Bond film including the latest, Quantum of Solace.

At the UK premiere in Leicester Square, stars Vanessa Hudgens, 19, Zac Efron, 20, Ashley Tisdale, 23 and Corbin Bleu, 19,  were greeted by thousands of excited young fans, many wearing High School Musical outfits and clutching pictures of their idols. The most devoted turned up at 4am to bag a prime spot next to the red carpet.

The film opens in the UK on October 22nd and in the US on October 24th.

The Joke’s on Zac Efron

Here’s one for your kids.

Check out this funny video of Zac Efron on the set of High School Musical 3 this summer the victim of a well-planned prank.

Water guns, toilet paper, laughter - good, clean fun.

Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens appear.

The  September 2008 issue of Elle features a smokin’ photo shoot of Vanessa Hudgens (19), Ashley Tisdale (23) and Zac Efron (20). All star in the upcoming High School Musical 3 feature film set to be released on October 24.

The modern Grease shoot showcases a very mature and edgy side of the three young-adults.  Wow! They all look incredible.

These photos will certainly succeed in broadening their adult fan base.

On a style note, these photos are filled with some fabulous pieces by Oscar de La Renta, Roberto Cavalli, Fendi and Christian Louboutin. Love the mix of leather, cotton and silks. A great taste of early Fall 2008.

Although we can’t see much of it, Vanessa’s shirt-dress (above left photo) by Fendi, $2,690 looks light, feminine and pretty.

Love Ashley’s floral print and Vanessa’s lace-trim yellow silk Roberto Cavalli dresses (above right photo).  Zac’s cotton poplin shirt $1,015 by Dior Homme is so sharp and sexy.

Love the pic of Ashely with her dog, Maui. Her Oscar de la Renta cashmere and silk tank top, $790 and silk and wool printed skirt, $3,290 are so feminine and pretty.  Suede pumps, Christian Louboutin, $660. Monogram canvas dog carrier, Louis Vuitton, $2,000. Great photo!

Here is the first batch of movie posters from High School Musical 3: Senior Year featuring Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman and Lucas Grabeel.

The theatrical release of High School Musical 3: Senior Year is set for Friday, October 24.

Love the girls only and boys only posters!

Enjoy a video of the song Now or Never off the soundtrack set to be released on Tuesday, October 21.

The second song off the soundtrack, “High School Musical”, will debut on the Disney Channel next Friday, August 8.

19-year-old, High School Musical sweetheart, Vanessa Hudgens is part of  the hottest group in Young Hollywood today.  She is best known and loved by her fans for her role in HSM as Gabriella Montez and as girlfriend to Zac Efron.

Onscreen and in interviews, Vanessa seems like just another young, vivacious, unassuming teen.  Surprisingly normal, right? Well, yes, except for the multiple pairs of Christian Louboutins and Balenciaga bags and being stalked incessantly by the paparazzi.

Being in the spotlight can be difficult for some, but V has navigated her way like a seasoned pro. Always beautiful, stylish and cute, this teen has a great sense of style for someone so young. She has made very few (if any) red carpet mistakes

She does not under-dress and she does not over dress. She has  the balance just right.

Remember the likes of some other teen starlets who made some notably bad fashion choices.

Open about her love for Christian Louboutin, Balenciaga and chain apparel stores, Urban Outfitters and Free People, V has often described her style as “bohemian chic.” Casual, hip, yet sexy, she knows what to pair for day and night and keeps her accessories to a minimum.

Vanessa has gone from an unknown teen to a style teen queen. I hope her style continues to shine on the red carpet…and to think, this is only the beginning.

Let’s take a look at Vanessa’s fashion transformation over the years.

Upper left: One of the first times Vanessa appeared on the red carpet was for the “Thunderbirds” UK & LA Premiere back in July 2004. She was only 15 then and probably still trying to discover her style, but for her first outing she looks sweet and fresh.

Upper right: Just 2 years later, at a High School Musical event, Vanessa looked mature and glamorous on the red carpet in the Red Twig Wendeline Babydoll dress by DVF.

Upper left: In 2006, at the 21st Annual IMAGEN Awards, Vanessa wore a cute black and gold dress, Eclipse Stripe by Cynthia Rowley.

Upper right: Later that same year at the Teen Choice Awards, she teamed a sexy Dolce & Gabbana dress in fuchsia dress with leopard print shoes.

Above: Possibly my favorite dress, a simple Jay Godfrey frock that is stylish and chic, yet still young and sexy.
